The National Task Force on Early Childhood Education aims to increase school readiness among Hispanic children entering kindergarten, particularly those from economically and educationally disadvantaged backgrounds, in order to ensure that all Hispanic children are well-educated and prepared for the future.
The National Governor’s Association Center for Best Practices – Early Childhood supports the work of Governors and their policy advisors to promote school readiness by building a comprehensive system of services for children ages birth to five.
The School Readiness Indicators Initiative worked with 17 states to develop a comprehensive set of school readiness indicators to inform public policy for young children and their families. Each of the 17 states that participated in the National School Readiness Indicators Initiative created a list of indicators to measure within their state.
